The first level of every world opens with a short tutorial on a small board: the rule is shown, then you place one forced digit, then you make a second deduction yourself. Forgot a rule? Tap Rules on the world screen to see it again.

Every puzzle has exactly one solution and is solvable by logic alone - no guessing, ever. When you're stuck, hints come in three steps: where to look, which technique to use, and finally the digit.

How to Play Sudoku and Its Variants
Every variant keeps the Classic rule and adds one more. Here are all ten.
- Classic: every row, column and 3×3 box holds the digits 1 to 9 once.
- Diagonal: both main diagonals also hold 1 to 9 once.
- Windoku: four extra shaded 3×3 windows also hold 1 to 9 once.
- Odd/Even: circled cells must be odd, squared cells must be even.
- Jigsaw: the boxes are irregular shapes instead of 3×3 squares.
- Kropki: a white dot joins consecutive digits; a black dot joins two digits where one is double the other.
- Thermo: digits strictly increase from the bulb along the thermometer.
- Killer: the digits in a dashed cage add up to its sum, with no repeats inside the cage.
- Arrow: the digits on an arrow add up to the digit in its circle.
- Anti-Knight: two cells a chess knight's move apart can't hold the same digit.
